alka "sharing cultural experience"
had a group meeting on benefits of different cultural experience. Group explored how American life is different from their lives back home. We identified good points of this society. following factors were identified:
1. better quality of life
2. better learning experience culturally
3. law abiding citizen
4. more individual freedom
5. better opportunities to learn and enhance skills
6. dignity of labor
7. better reward for effort
8. good civic life
9. more freedom for women
10. better understanding of our relations with our family members
11. more dependence on ourselves
12.open and supportive culture at work
13. straight forwardness
14. good customer service
the exercise enable us to understand and learn from each other experiences. Secondly we agreed
to improve the dress code by wearing more formal attire. This would hopefully project a better vision of our organization.
We also learned from candidates participation that life in bigger cities like Bombay or Karachi back home was very much similar to life in USA. What we are missing out their is resource-overload and absence of civic sense. Other than that culturally India and Pakistan have lot to offer.
